Back in 2017, when I was working at Rogers Sportsnet, I was assigned a feature on the 30th anniversary of the most painful week in the Toronto Blue Jays' history: the season-ending seven-game losing streak that cost them the American League East pennant. Three decades later, some of the players and other principals had made their peace with the swoon, but others were still haunted. My reporting led to the production of a retrospective audio documentary that supplemented both a long-form text piece and a video feature.
